Cosco Corporation (Singapore)'s subsidiary has secured an option contract to build one special purpose carrier.
The option was exercised on Friday by an European shipowner. The vessel is scheduled to be delivered by Cosco (Guangdong) Shipyard in the fourth-quarter of 2013.
Cosco Corp had on 15 February this year secured contracts valued over $113m for three special purpose carriers, including the option for an additional unit.
