Brokers note that SR Shipping, one of the most active outfits in South Asia this year, has added the 8,831 dwt chemical tanker Dong-A Rigel from Korea´s Dong A Tanker for some US$12m.

SR Shipping is subsidiary of the Kabir Steel Group, which also has another shipping arm Mariners Associate, the outfit is also known as Brave Royal Shipping, who handles its management.

So far this year, the Bangladesh owner has added more than a handful of ships, modernising its fleet to access India's expanding coal trade.
