Svitzer Orders Tug Quartet from Damen
The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) has taken delivery of the second of five secondhand MR ships bought in February for US$166.5m.
MR ship STI Mythos was delivered and ownership was transferred to Bahri's subsidiary National Chemical Carriers (NCC) on March 29, 2016 and the ship's name was changed to NCC Jood.
Bahri said that the financial impact of this ship is expected during the second quarter of 2016.
The first newcomer from the batch, STI Lexington, joined Bahri's fleet earlier this month and the ship's name was changed to NCC Wafa.
The vessels were constructd in 2014 at South Korea's Hyundai Mipo Dockyard.
The remaining three product tankers, STI Chelsea, STI Olivia and STI Powai, are slated for delivery by June 30, 2016.
