Chengxi Shipyard Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), secured an order of two 7,000dwt chemical carriers from Singapore-based shipowner Winning Shipping, reported a domestic shipping news portal.

The deliveries are scheduled for 2016 and 2017 respectively.

The two vessels will only be operated in Indonesia. Winning Shipping holds stakes in an alumina refinery in the country.

The Singaporean shipowner did not unveil the concrete price of the two vessels. However, online platform VesselsValue.com estimates each of the ships at approximately US$18m.
