d'Amico Tankers Limited (Ireland) has agreed with d'Amico Shipping Italia S.p.A. to buy the secondhand product tanker Cielo di Milano.

The 40,081dwt 2003-built ship was priced at US$14m to be paid by cash on delivery.

"This purchase adds to our fleet a unit that we know very well, and that allows us to engage it on a specific trade route that meets perfectly with its technical features," said Marco Fiori, CEO of d'Amico International Shipping.

The company, however, did not disclose details on the ship's trade route or delivery date.
