Offshore driller Transocean has entered into a mutual agreement with Singapore-based Keppel Offshore & Marine to defer the delivery of five jackup rigs under construction at Keppel FELS until 2020.

Transocean ordered the rigs in a five plus five deal in November 2013 at a cost of US$1.1bn.

The five rigs were scheduled to be delivered from 2016 through 2017, however will now be delivered in two and three month intervals beginning early 2020.
