Chinese listed shipyard Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (XSI) saw an 8500PCTC built for an unidentified European shipowner commence its maiden voyage on March 5. The vessel is the largest of its kind in the world.

The ship, named "Höegh Autoliners", measures 199.9m in length overall and boasts 14 decks for carrying vehicles.

So far, the number of the PCTCs XSI delivered has reached 21 units.
