Canadian shipowner and operator Fednav has ordered four more dry bulk carriers from a Japanese shipbuilder Oshima Shipbuilding, according to Clarksons Platou Shipbroking.

Under the contract, the yard will build four 34,500dwt bulkers which will be fitted to operate on the Great Lakes of North America.

The vessels are scheduled to join Fednav's fleet in 2018, Clarksons added.

The parties did not reveal the value of the order.
