Oslo-listed Team Tankers is shedding elderly tankers. Brokers report that the company has sold two ships, the Sichem Sparrrow and her sister Sichem Comibri, to an unidentified Asian account. The two 14-year-old vessels have gone for US$5.5m each.

Team Tankers has quietly sold a handful of elderly ships since last September. The Morten Arntzen-led firm's fleet consists now of some 35 ships. Its chemical tankers range from 3,500dwt to 46,000dwt with an average fleet age of below 10 years.
