Germany-based Nordic Hamburg has ordered four 1,400teu dual-fuel container vessels from the recently restructured Huatai Heavy Industry (Nantong) Co in China.

The shipbuilding contract was penned in Shanghai on Nov. 3.

The value of the contract was not revealed.

The first 170 meter boxship is slated for delivery in late 2017.

The vessels will be classed by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
