Norway-based shortsea shipping group Wilson has ordered three 2,600dwt bulkers from China's yard Wuxue Janda Shipbuilding Co., Ltd..

The three vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2016 and each cost approximately EUR3.3m (US$3.5m). The company has obtained refund guarantees from the Chinese shipyard.

Wilson operates a fleet of 111 ships.

The group's ships carried 14.5 million tonnes of cargo last year, an increase from 14.1 million in 2013.
