Copenhagen-based shipowner Celsius Shipping has ordered four more chemical tankers at China's shipbuilder Nantong Mingde Heavy Industry.

The contract for four 24,600dwt stainless steel tankers was signed on March 3, confirmed the company's COO Niels Stig Christensen.

The contract brings the company's orderbook to a total of 14 chemical tankers of about 25,000dwt with solid stainless steel cargo tanks.

The company ordered three 24,000dwt stainless steel chemical tankers at Nantong Mingde in 2014, bringing its order to 10 ships at the yard.

Information on the value of the deal or delivery dates have not been disclosed.

Celsius Shipping moved its operations to Copenhagen this January, closing its office in Monaco as it pushed for consolidation of its operations.

The group manages 8 stainless steel tankers and 25 product tankers. There are 10 stainless steel tankers and 6 MR product tankers under order with delivery from 2015, as last reported on the company's website.
