In July, secondhand vessel trading turnover continued the declining momentum with a total volume of 88 vessels, falling by 10.02% compared with last month.

Secondhand bulker price in July kept falling while trading volume gained slight rise. Totally 54 bulk carriers were changed hands in July, increasing 25.58% against last month.

Secondhand crude oil tanker and product tanker price both tumbled due to the sluggish oil trading. Only 10 tankers were changed hands in period, diving by 50%.

With the growing overcapacity of containerships, boxship freight rates were increasingly depressed. As a result, more and more owners began to unload containerships and thus suppressed secondhand price.
