China's Yangtze river city of Nanjing plans to establish Nanjing Shipping Exchange to integrate shipping, port, trading, finance and HR information.
Nanjing is collaborating with ports along Yangtze river on port operation, capital and regional logistics cooperation, and is upgrading its logistics infrastructure. Last year, Nanjing completed around 250m tons cargo throughput, an increase of 5.7 percent from a year earlier.
At present, China has seven shipping exchanges in Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Xiamen and Chongqing.
