Chinese largest yard for offshore plant has begun its construction in Shandong, China.
CNY 10bn ($1.56bn) is invested to construct the largest offshore yard in China which builds offshore plants.
Private-owned Jiangsu Eastern Heavy Industry takes part in this project and the yard will be in operation starting from 2014.
The project is to build "Rizhao offshore-plant yard" in a Rizhao economic development zone.
Rizhao local government and JES International Holdings, a parent company of JEHI, make joint investment.
To enhance China's competitiveness in offshore plant industry is one of the 12th five-year plan and this project a part of this plan.
Annual revenue is expected to reach CNY 30-50bn, when the yard becomes fully operational.
