Recently, Jinhai Heavy Industry has been consecutively secured new orders. After contracting 2+2 320,000-dwt VLCCs from Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC, which is the first VLCC orders Jinhai received in 2011, the yard won another 1+1 81,500-dwt kamsarmax bulk carrier orders from Singaporean Wilmar International late last month.
Since the beginning of 2010, Jinhai has established a VLCC project management group and got great achievements in VLCC R&D, which provided great support for the company to secure VLCC orders.
The latest contracted kamsarmaxes, similar to 82,000-dwt ships it won in the past, have a length of 229 meters and a breadth of 32.26 meters, delivery by the end of 2012.
