CSSC (Hong Kong) Leasing, an arm of China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC), has ordered five 208,000 dwt dry bulk carriers at compatriot yard Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS).

The order comes with an option to build five more similar units at the shipyard. The newbuildings will be chartered to Greek owner Ocean Bulk.

Meanwhile, CSSC (Hong Kong) Leasing has ordered two jack-up rigs at SWS. Financial details and the charterer of the rigs were not disclosed.

The unit of CSSC has secured financing from Export & Import Bank of China (Exim) for the 5+5 bulkers and the two rigs.
