Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore has won an order from Central Shipping Monaco (CSM) to build two jack-up drilling rigs.

The pair of rigs are scheduled to be delivered at the end of 2015. The contract comes with an option for CSM to build up to four more similar units with the CIMC Raffles.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The two units of Friede & Goldman JU2000E rigs can operate in water depths of 400 feet and drilling depths of 35,000 feet.

The rigs are capable of operating in the waters of Gulf of Mexico, Middle East North Britain, and West and East Africa.

CIMC Raffles said CSM is “an ambitious new comer in oil and gas industry, and wishes to expand its business in future years.”
