Wisdom Marine announced that the Taiwanese shipowner had placed an order for three bulkers at a Japanese yard on October 25.

The owner ordered two 37,600 dwt bulkers at Imabari Shipbuilding, including one 55,000 dwt bulker placed at Kawasaki Heavy Industries previously.

The three newbuildings are said to be options exercised with pricing down by 10-20% against recent market level, for delivery slated in the second quarter of 2017.

Meanwhile, Wisdom Marine’s owned fleet comprises around 90 vessels and the shipowner is standing on orderbook of 35 vessels which are planned for delivery within the next four years.
