Japan's Kitanihon Shipbuilding has won the first new order after the earthquake catastrophe.
Taiwanese shipowner booked two 28,000-dwt bulkers at the yard which specializes in chemical tankers.
Against the backdrop of declining demand for chemical tankers, Kitanihon is diversifying into other ship type like bulkers.
It is the second time for the yard to win 28,000-dwt bulker after September last year.
Newbuilding price is yet to be revealed but delivery is set for the third quarter, 2012.
