Hantong Ship Heavy Industry has signed with repeat customer Nisshin Shipping for two 38,800 dwt bulkers which are scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2015.
Nisshin Shipping had ordered three 64,000 dwt bulkers with two options in April this year as part of its fleet expansion plan. In addition to the orders at Hantong, the Japanese owner has ordered five bulkers at Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, two bulkers at CSSC Longxue Shipyard and three bulkers at Jinhai Heavy Industry since last year.
Hantong has been constantly receiving bulker orders this year and it has received up to 25 bulkers including options in the past three month.
