Tianjin Xingang Shipbuilding Heavy Industry has bagged an order for two post-panamax car carriers from Wallenius Lines, which are due for delivery between 2015 - 2016.
The vessels will be 200 meters long with a beam width of 36.5 meters and a car carrying capacity to 8,000 cars.
"We believe in a strong market for our segment of shipping, and are pleased to have concluded the negotiations with Tianjin Xingang Shipyard in China for two state of the art post-panamax car carriers with the option to build another two vessels," Anders Boman, president of Wallenius Lines said.
