Expectations Golar LNG will land up to four regasification projects this year has led Lazard Capital Markets to boost its earnings outlook for the company.
In a note to clients analyst Urs Dur said: “The global FSRU market has approximately 25 new projects for bid and Golar has been the market leader in this high-margin business.
“We would expect that Golar will win two to four of these bids over the rest of 2011, develop the projects and eventually sell them down to its daughter Golar LNG Partners in a manner that garners substantial cash for Golar.”
He has hiked his 2012 forecast for Golar from $1.47 to $1.74 per share.
