In May, 2013, scrapping prices in China were seen to keep decreasing.
According to data from China Water Transport, demolition prices of tankers in the range of 15,000-25,000 LDT, PCs in 6,000-10,000 LDT, bulkers in 7,000-12,000 LDT were $376, $368 and $354, respectively, declining by 2.01%, 2.15% and 3.08% from the previous month.
Meanwhile, China bought a total of 16 scrapped vessels of a combined 620,000 dwt and scrapped 800,000 dwt vessels in full May.
