Koreans Knock on China Offshore
Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) has announced on May 21 that it will hold a business consultation where Korean ship and offshore plant equipment manufacturers participate in Dalian, Liaoning Province on May 22, jointly with Korea Marine Equipment Association (KOMEA).
The consultation is planned for Korean marine equipment makers to secure overseas opportunities since they highly depend on domestic demand amid shipbuilding recession and to expand opportunities for cooperation in order to foster the makers in fast-growing offshore plant industry.
A total of 24 domestic manufacturers, such as NK and etc., will take part in the consultation to implement marketing strategy for export, targeting more than 50 Chinese companies, including 12 affiliated shipyards of the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) and the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC).
There will be a briefing session for purchase and a counseling session focused on offshore plant where people in charge of offshore plant will attend from large shipyards, such as Dalian Shipbuilding Industry, Shanghai Shipyard and etc. that opportunities are expected to grow for Korean companies to advance into overseas offshore plant market.
