Jiangzhou Union Shipbuilding successfully won a newbuilding order for six 12,500 multiple purpose vessel (MPV) with an German owner at Hamburg on April 19.
The MPV measures 144.7m in length, 22.8m in breadth, 11.3m in depth, 7.5m in design draft, 136.0m in length between perpendiculars and 15.1 knots in speed. The vessel will be supervised by GL.
In the weak shipbuilding market, Jiangzhou Union Shipbuilding is busy with handful orders and successfully delivered a series of heavy lift vessels in the first quarter.
