Korean feeder service player Heung-A Shipping said on April 23 through a regulatory filing that it decided to invest in four newbuildings of 1,000-teu full containerships worth KRW 89.48bn ($79.8m) with an aim to replace older vessels.
The four 1,000 teu newbuildings are acquired in a form of Bare Boat Charter with Hire Purchase (BBC-HP) with $20m to be invested in each ship. They are slated for delivery from the fourth quarter of 2014 to the second quarter of 2015.
