China is said to plan to release an ‘Industrial standard and technical standard for LNG-propulsion vessel’ in the second half of this year.
According to a report by China Securities Journal, the standardization work is expected to promote switching vessel fuel “from oil to gas” and development in gas charging facilities. Also, it will eventually benefit profits of listed companies by helping market growth with, for instance, LNG sales, storage, shipping and etc.    
An official at China Classification Society has prospected, “The standardization measure will accelerate ship fuel change from oil to gas, leading LNG-propelled vessels to be widely operated in China.”
