Hyundai Heavy Industries of Korea is believed to finalize an aframax tanker order with Greek owner Kyklades Maritime soon.
Sources said the shipowner is just to sign orders for two aframax tankers, which are subject to a time charter deal with Total.
Some say they are to be chartered by other companies from the same business.
However, Kyklades is not giving any confirmation regarding the reports.
Meanwhile, an industry player said that Total had been in talks with shipowners and shipyards over time charter agreements on aframax series in November 2012. Also, Total was said to have asked shipyards for concept designs on aframaxes and VLCCs, which would satisfy tightened environmental standards.
