Taiwan-based dry bulk shipping company Shih Wei Navigation is continuing its fleet renewal program by ordering three newbuildings in Japan.
The Taipei-listed bulker operator has ordered three handysize ships at two Japanese shipyards.
It penned two 36,000DWT bulk carriers at $22.6m each at Shikoku Dockyard. Shih Wei also contracted one 37,000DWT bulker at Onomichi Dockyard for $23m.
They are scheduled for delivery in 2014 and 2015.
The Taiwanese company has ordered six handysize, one panamax and one post-panamax newbuildings since last year.
