China’s Wuhu Xinlian Shipbuilding is said to have won two 70-meter length of diving support vessels (DSV) from a Singaporean shipowner.
With this, Wuhu added another record in offshore segment after winning a platform supply vessel (PSV) in October 2010 and the DSV is known as a high value vessel supporting robots’ subsea work.
Moreover, the vessel is to be equipped with Wartsila’s eco-friendly Electric propulsion system, Low Loss Concept (LLC), which raises fuel-efficiency.
Meanwhile, the company is said to have push forward to training talented individuals via professionals from foreign and China’s related industries to have a capacity to build high specification and high value offshore vessels since 2012.
