Tiangjin Xingang Shipbuilding Heavy Industry is said to have won an additional order for two handysize bulkers from Strategic Bulk Carriers (SBC).
Industry sources said the MT Maritime Management (MTMM)'s dry-bulk operator exercised options for two 40,000-dwt bulkers at the Chinese shipyard with delivery slated for 2014.
MTMM confirmed the order but revealed no price. Sources believe SBC has further options for two at the yard.
Meanwhile, SBC booked an order for firm four newbuilding handysizes in 2011, with delivery starting from 2015.
