Seoul-based Dong Young Shipping has reportedly ordered a feeder newbuilding at a domestic shipyard.
Hyundai Mipo Dockyard is believed to have won the deal for a 1,000TEU containership.
Delivery is scheduled in the first half of 2014. And newbuilding price is estimated to be around $17.5m, brokers report.
Dong Young is believed to be pursuing a fleet renewal as newbuilding prices hit the historical lows these days.
It is now controling 12 feeder boxships ranging between 384TEU and 962TEU built between 1996 and 2009.
