Scorpio Tankers seems possibly to place more new orders with a target to expand its fuel-efficient fleet.
The New York-listed company said with its stable financial situation, the company is capable of investing in newbuildings worth nearly $300m.
The product tanker operator revealed that it is attracted to LR2 and handysize segments, since these markets are predicted to recover.
Meanwhile, as for fleet expansion through second-hand acquisition, it said that it became harder to find second-hand products on the market, so the company will focus on newbuildings.
