AP Moller-Maersk has sold off one of its VLCCs, 308,500-dwt Maersk Eli (built 2000).
Maersk Tankers has offloaded the VLCC, but refused to comment on price or buyer.
But market sources prospect that the ship could be sold for $32m with SBM Offshore with a purpose of offshore conversion.
Meanwhile, Polembros of Greece is said to have offloaded 300,000-dwt Ikomasan built in 2000 for $26.5m recently and in October 2012, Euronav laid down 299,9990dwt Algarve built in 1999 for $35.8m to MODEC.
