Dilek Shipping is reported to be the owner of a pair of bulkers cancelled by STX Offshore & Shipbuilding recently.

The Korean shipbuilder said in its regulatory filing on February 8 that its newbuilding contract for two bulkers, signed with European owner in August 2008, were cancelled as of February 8.

The cancelled deal worth around KRW 128.5bn (about $118.8m), it said.
Brokers say the Greek owner’s 81,000-dwt bulkers, which were first ordered in September 2008 and of which delivery dates were postponed to 2013~2014 from late 2011, are believed to have been axed.
