Elandra turns out to have ordered two more MR products carriers at SPP Shipbuilding, increasing its orderbook to 12 ships.

Industry sources say the UK-based shipowner inked the two 52,000DWT tankers last year.

Its earlier 10 newbuildings were booked two years ago.

Delivery begins this March, ending in the first half of 2014.

The owner is also said to be in talks with the Korean shipbuilder for more MR newbuilds.
