Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has scored a VLGC newbuilding order from a local company.
Japan's largest LPG player Astomos Energy announced on 23rd that it has booked the very large LPG carrier at Mitsubishi.
The newbuilding is set for delivery in the second quarter of 2012.
Astomos is ordering its first newbuilding this time and plans to replace the existing 83,000-CBM ship “Astomos Earth”.
The newbuilding will be built at Mitsubishi's Nagasaki Shipyard & Machinery Works.
