It is reported that Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd has successfully resold its three 50,200dwt chemical tanker under construction to Danish owner J Lauritzen.
The three vessels are originally scheduled to be delivered by April, June and September of 2013, two of which are ordered in 2007 and the other unit in 2010. It is estimated that the contract value was about $47.0m apiece.
Lauritzen had successfully got $75,0m loan from German KFW IPEX-Band and the Import-Export Bank of China. The three new ships have been renamed “Freja Phoenixw”, “Leo” and “Libra” after delivery.
