Indonesia to Purchase 2500 Vessels from China

The Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry announce on 28th January that Indonesia is planning to import 2500 vessels from china to improve domestic ports’ transporting capacity.
Director of the trading, distribution and logistic department said on 28th that the Chamber has reached an agreement with China for the purchase of 2500 vessels at a value of $5.0bn. The vessels are to be delivered since the beginning of 2013 and will be all in place in five years.
The director says that Indonesia’s transporting cost has keeping high for year due to the shortage of infrastructure. The improvement of transporting capacity is imminent for Indonesia’s development.
