Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries and Hyundai Heavy Industries are said to be poised to win the first LNG carrier newbuilding orders for 2013.
Market sources say Samsung is to win four newbuildings and Hyundai two from Nigeria LNG.
The LNG carriers of around 170,000-cbm class would be delivered in 2015 and 2016.
The parties are said to be finalizing the discussion on the level of Nigeria's local contents regulation.
