Tsakos Shipping & Trading has reportedly sold its third containership for scrap in around a month.
The Greek shipowner is said to have disposed of the 2,800-teu Irenes Dream (built 1991) to be recycled by Indian breakers.
Cash buyer GMS said the scrap price would be around $463 per ldt, or $5.62m in total.
Clarksons suggests a different demolition price of $459 per ldt.
