China's Daoda Marine Heavy Industry is said to have been awarded an order for one semi-submersible barge from compatriot CRCC Harbour & Channel Engineering Bureau Group.
The 10,000-dwt barge, 78.6m in length, 40m in breadth and 6m in height, will be classified by CCS and be built on the base of design provided by Daoda Marine, with delivery slated for the end of 2013.
Meanwhile, Daoda Marine receives credit for its special-ship building.
Recently, Daoda Marine, along with Guangzhou Shipyard International, won an order for 50,000-dwt semi-submersible barge from Dutch shipowner and successfully delivered three dredgers, jointly inked with IHC Merwede of the Netherlands.
