John Fredriksen's Seatankers is said to have picked up platform supply vessel newbuildings in China.
Brokers say the Norwegian magnate’s private company has penned up to four newbuildings at Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group and is expected to pass them on to Oslo-listed Deep Sea Supply, which Fredriksen controls. 
It is believed the order is for two firm Ulstein Design's PX105 CD vessels, with options for two more.
Delivery of the two firm newbuildings is understood to be penciled in for 2012.
