Samsung Heavy Industries is said to have inked an order for 160,000-cbm LNG carrier pair from oil major Chevron.
The newbuilding LNG carriers are expected to be delivered in December 2015 and June 2016.
After booking Chevron's two 154,000-dwt lightering tankers in June, recently the Korean shipbuilder contracted a pair of LNG carriers.
As of now, Samsung has been awarded a total of six 160,000-cbm LNG carriers from Chevron, two newbuildings contracted every year since 2010.
