Zhoushan-based Zhongchang Marine has recently made an announcement that its subsidiary Zhongchang Shipping is to sell its bulk carrier “Zhongchang 28” to Shanghai Zhen’ao Trading at a price of CNY45.0m.
The vessel was built in 1985 at Guangzhou Shipyard with a capacity of 17.700dwt. With the development of ship technology and increase of large ships, Zhongchang has made great investment in replacing its fleet with bigger ships in consideration of economical efficiency, safety, energy efficiency and eco-friendliness. The sale of Zhangchang 28 is part of the company’s fleet optimization program.
