Dalian Ocean Shipping Co (COSCO Dalian) is reportedly planning to order two plus two optional Very Large Crude Carriers at China Shipbuilding Industry Corp (CSIC)'s Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co (DSIC) for 2014 delivery.
The newbuilding price is estimated to be the same as the two plus two newbuildings booked by the same shipowner at China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC)'s Guangzhou Shipyard International recently.
CSSC Guangzhou Longxue Shipbuilding will build the VLCCs for delivery at the end of 2014 and in the first quarter of 2015.
The company has three months to exercise the options and market source say the newbuilding price is between $82m and $85m per ship.
