The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) has recently announced a guideline for modernization of shipbuilding industries, on the basis of the 12th five-year development plan for shipbuilding industries.
MIIT came up with a guideline to overcome recent crisis.
The guideline aims that overall shipyards to have high-value shipbuilding system with leading shipbuilding technologies on the international level by 2015.
Also, it targets to improve labor productivity by 15%, shipbuilding efficiency by 15 working hour/cgt, to reach distribution rate of digital design equipment up to 85%, etc.
The guideline set up the seven major tasks - enhancement of shipbuilding quality, establishment of distinct management system, improvement of information gathering, Green Ship, Upgrade human resources management, etc.
The guideline also supports yards growth through R&D, comparative analysis with expanded international exchange, etc.
