Teekay's spin-off company Teekay LNG Partners is planning to order new LNG carriers in the near future.
Teekay Corp CEO Peter Evensen said, “I think it's a better window to order right now, and frankly, shipyards are more eager.”
Evensen also revealed the company is considering new LNG-FSRU vessel orders.
He said Teekay has been in the running for several projects, and a newbuilding order is more likely than a conversion one.
