Tokyo Gas Mulls New LNGC Japan's Tokyo Gas is reportedly discussing with shipyards on an LNG carrier newbuilding.
The company's shipping unit Tokyo LNG Tanker (TLT) is now said to be in talks with yards on an LNG newbuilding that its parent company will require from 2017.
Tokyo Gas is to import cargoes from the Ichthys LNG project in Australia and intends to strengthen its owned fleet.
The newbuilding is expected to be ordered at a Japanese shipyard within 2013.
